Fix It in Prep is an in-depth 4-hour class designed to guide filmmakers through the essential tasks of pre-production for a greenlit feature film. Focused on streamlining the preparation process, this workshop covers everything that needs to be accomplished from before pre-production to pre-production through the last day of prep prior to commencing principal Photography.

The workshop focuses on a week-by-week basis to best prepare for filming to minimize production challenges. Because they will happen, but you can prepare for them! We will be addressing how the script, financing, casting, budgeting, prep & production scheduling, hiring key creatives and crewing up relate to the prep and production timeline. By the end of the class, participants will have a clear roadmap for a successful pre-production process, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget before cameras roll.

Emily Gillis

Hi! I'm Emily, I run Sweetfolk Studio, a brand and web studio dedicated to lifting up creative businesses through great design.

Sweetfolk Studio celebrates business owners and solopreneurs who care deeply about their craft - from artists to florists, caterers to stylists. You put your time and energy into serving others beautifully. Your brand should do the same for you.

Through thoughtful, strategic design, and a deep respect for building your vision, Sweetfolk Studio shapes visual identities that feel lived-in, a little off-beat, and built to last.

I've been building websites on Squarespace since 2016, and a Circle member since launch (I think!). Happy to help with any questions or roadblocks, whether you're building a website for yourself or a client.
